Description:Summary:The Associate is expected to acquire and
develop competence, skills, and judgment in accounting principles
and auditing procedures.JTaylor is a unique CPA firm with a growing

Functions:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be

essential functions.Become familiar with pronouncements of the
Financial Accounting Standards Boards and AICPA.Become proficient
at auditing financial statements for clients.Obtain exposure on the
types of financial statement engagements offered by JTaylor.Assume
responsibility for various segments of audits under supervision.Be
familiar with current accounting principles and auditing
techniques.Execute day to day activities of audit engagements for
multiple clients.Communicate auditing matters and problems to
Senior Associates, Managers, and Partners.Acquire a working
knowledge of the client's business.Become oriented with JTaylor's
practices, policies, and culture.Obtain a minimum of 40 credits of
CPE each calendar year or meet the Texas State Board
requirementsManage non-billable time through self-study and
self-development.Communicate effectively, both verbal and written,
with all levels of JTaylor.Communicate effectively with clients,
when directed by a Partner or Manager.Regular and timely
attendanceRequirements:Required Competencies:Execution - Careful

environmentSupervisory Responsibilities:This position has no
supervisory responsibilities.Required Qualifications:Bachelor of
Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting or a related
field.GPA of 3.0 or higher0 - 2 years of work experienceWritten
plan of completion of CPA if candidate is not already
eligibleProficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel,
Outlook)Current and valid driver's licensePreferred
Qualifications:CPA or CPA eligibleAdvanced level audit and
accounting coursesWork Environment:This job operates in an office
setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as
computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.Additional
hours as needed to meet client expectations and deadlines.Physical

position. Our standard business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Additional hours and weekend hours may be required during peak busy
seasons.Travel:Travel may be required on occasion. Same-day travel
for work at client's offices, meetings, and seminars which requires
use of a personal vehicle. Occasional out-of-town travel with
overnight stay for work at clients, meeting, or seminars.Other
