OncologyStandard Weekly Hours:40Summary:Cook Children's Medical
Center and Healthcare System, based in Fort Worth, TX, has an
excellent opportunity for a full-time Pediatric Hematologist to
join our growing Hematology and Oncology Center to join our active
Hematology Service. Currently, our 16 physicians and 12 nurse
practitioners, as well as dedicated multi-disciplinary staff, treat
over 80 strokes per year, see over 240 new cancer cases annually,
and maintain a population of over 300 sickle cell syndrome
patients. We have a very active outpatient practice and serve an
expansive referral area including the Fort Worth Metro area, North
Texas as well as East, Central and West Texas and the surrounding
states. Our center is an active member of Children's Oncology Group
(COG) and has active collaborations with multiple academic
institutions, Phase I consortiums and pharmaceutical companies. Our
Hematology Oncology center is very active in clinical research in
Oncology, Hematology fields, including involvement in several
international pediatric stroke and thrombosis studies. We are
seeking an energetic BC/BE Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist with
an interest in Thrombosis and Hemostasis, as well as a strong base
in General Hematology to fill this position. This is an exceptional
opportunity to join a patient-focused practice with a high level of
independence and opportunities for professional growth. Involvement
in program development will be highly encouraged and supported.
Cook Children's Physician Network has an exciting opportunity for a
board certified/board eligible physician.Qualifications: --- Doctor
of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.)
required. --- American Heart Association BLS and PALS. ---
Unrestricted Texas Medical license (must obtain prior to start
date). --- Must have successfully completed an Accreditation
Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Medical
Association (AMA) approved residency for pediatrics. --- Board
certified/board eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology .Cook
