Job Description:

In this role as Scientist at our Forth Worth, Texas location, you will support new product development for infectious disease molecular quality controls and more, under the Exact Diagnostics brand! As a Scientist, you will design, develop, and validate new quality control products as part of a multi-discplinary team, create new procedures and improve existing ones, and solve complex but, rewarding challenges. How You'll Make An Impact:

• Advance infectious disease molecular quality control development by designing experiments, performing basic data analysis (Excel, Minitab) and documenting your work under a Quality Management System.
  
• Establish plans, timelines, and protocols for feasibility testing, optimization, verification, validation, and launch products that will ultimately help maintain quality of life for millions.
  
• Manage multiple projects and provide presentations on the project milestones, troubleshooting efforts and technical achievements.
  
• Develop new processes, write standard operating procedures, and train personnel on techniques.
  What You Bring:
  • 
    
  • Bachelor's, Master's, PhD degree or equivalent in biology, molecular biology or related scientific discipline.
    
  • 5+ years of experience working in the infectious disease research or diagnostics field (experience required depends on education level).
    
  • Good working knowledge of molecular analysis techniques including extraction, purification, quantitative real-time PCR.
    
  • Experience with digital PCR techniques or NGS is considered a plus.
    
  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, as well as fluency in computer techniques and software, hardware or other tools for experimentation and analysis; attention to detail.
    
  • Ability to self-motivate, multitask and make intellectual contributions to multiple projects.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $76,600 to $105,400 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
