Hours:40Summary:Functions in collaborative practice with
physician(s) in private office setting. Autonomously performs
patient assessment, diagnosis, and intervention according to
approved protocols. Supports physician to develops and maintain
patients. Provides office coverage for physician(s) during periods
of absence. Prescribes a variety of modalities to meet wellness and
illness needs, up to and including hospital admission/discharge and
prescriptive authority. Supervises private office clinical
personnel as needed. Incorporates current research findings into
clinical practice; participates in pertinent areas of clinical
research, disseminating findings. Full-time position (planned
schedule is 4 10 hour days) Two years of pediatric primary care
experience is highly preferred for this role Education &
Experience: Advanced Practice Registered Nurses 1. Master's Degree
in Nursing as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.2. Minimum 2 years
of pediatric nursing experience or 2 years experience as an FNP in
a primary care setting strongly preferred.OR Physician Assistants
1. Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies strongly
preferred2. Minimum of two years Pediatric primary/specialty or
acute care setting experience OR 2 years' experience in related
allied health field (i.e. family practice setting with heavy
component of pediatric patients) strongly preferred.Licensure,
Registration, and/or Certification Advanced Practice Registered
Nurses 1. Current Texas professional registered nurse license2.
Current Texas professional advance practice registered nurse
license3. Recognition from the State Board of Nurse Examiners as an
Advanced Practice Nurse4. Certification as Pediatric or Family
Practice Nurse Practitioner5. Current Basic Life Support (CPR)
required6. Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
preferredOR Physician Assistants 1. Current Texas professional
physician assistant license2. Recognition from the State Medical
Board as a Physician Assistant3. Certification as a Physician
