We're looking for an Equipment Inventory Clerk. The Opportunity Reporting to the Equipment Manager, this role is ideal for someone 'hands-on', who enjoys working with customers, and who has an eagle eye for detail. In this role you'll: * Be the first point of contact for customer questions and issues related to the heavy equipment inventory * Administer shipping & receiving documents related to the movement of the equipment to and from the auction site, and enter related information into the appropriate software systems * Accurately identify equipment serial numbers, record basic equipment descriptions and label the equipment correctly * Promote a culture where the health and safety of our employees and customers is top priority for all * Provide assistance as required to the rest of the Detailed Equipment Inspection (DEI) Team * Assist the Sales team with appraisals and write-ups in the field between peak periods, as required * Actively support the RB Unreserved Commitment to Safety: to send everyone home, every day, the way they came to work, by taking personal responsibility for your safety and safety of your team, co-workers and customers. Here's what you bring: * 1 to 2 years of similar experience * High school graduate. Any post-secondary education is an asset * Knowledge of -- or the desire to learn about -- construction equipment and trucks * Proficient with computers and good working knowledge / experience using MS Office Suite products (e.g. Word, Excel). Documentation processing experience is an asset * Strong written and verbal communication skills in English * You must be process-oriented and comfortable adhering to company policies and procedures to be successful in this role * Strong customer service orientation. You have a natural ease dealing with customers * Excellent organizational skills. You're the type that leaves no detail unattended * Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines * Highly motivated, goal-oriented and self-directed, and able to work independently, as well as collaboratively. You thrive working as part of a team and pitch-in wherever needed * You like to work hard but still have fun on the job. This job will require you to: * Have a valid, clean driver's license * Work both indoors and outdoors year-round and climb on and off large equipment and trucks * Work regular overtime, including weekend hours. You can expect to work extra hours prior to each sale, during each sale, and after each sale * Travel to other auction sites * Due to the number of offsite sales and large appraisals our staff travels XX% of the time.
