Job Description:

Job Summary:Candidates will focus their time searching various agencies (municipal, government, private) for construction projects in and around the states of Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado and Wyoming, that require construction surveying services. Additional time will be spent acquiring project documentation and communicating with local contractors about construction work as a means of marketing Topographic. Candidates will analyze project plan sets, specifications and bidding documents to determine the scope of survey work required and generate project price estimates. Lastly, candidates will maintain communication with and develop business relationships with all contractors to increase potential opportunities going forward.Essential Functions:

  • Develop complete sets of site development projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D including site geometry, utility, erosion and sediment control, grading/drainage plans, and details in accordance with client and Topographic design standards.
  • Analyze surveys, field notes, maps, aerial photographs, and other materials to identify potential project constraints and the best approach in developing and completing projects on time and on budget.
  • Complete redlines and plan revisions.
  • Research and review deeds, ordinances, technical reports, municipal, state, and federal codes to ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate and communicate with the project team in engineering, production, design, and management to meet overall project objectives and deadlines.

        • Proven experience as estimator or similar position
        • Familiarity with financial and project management principles
        • In depth knowledge of research and data analysis methods and estimation formulas
        • Math and IT ability with an analytical mindset
        • Proficient in relevant software
        • Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities
        • Thoroughness and reliability
