Superintendent will oversee all phases of a construction project
including coordinating all site construction activities and
supervising all field personnel as required to complete the project
on schedule and within budget. This includes maintaining the
highest quality, supervising all trade and field personnel, while
administering good construction safety practices with all on-site
activities. Maintains the job site office and closes out the job
site. Salary Range based on experience.Job Type: Full-time

Duties/Responsibilities:Develops a schedule and cost-effective plan
for completion of an assigned project and coordinates a training
program designed to instruct employees in general safe work
practices.Collaborates with other staff to create preconstruction
estimates and budgets for materials and labor. Coordinates and
schedules the work activities of tradespeople, professionals, and
laborers, communicating to and via project foreperson to deliver
instructions and project assignments as appropriate.Regularly
inspects work for quality and timeliness; identifies and corrects
any unsafe conditions and work practices; prepares and provides
progress reports to owners and architects; makes recommendations
for necessary modifications.Collaborates with the architect,
engineer, attorney, and other pertinent stakeholders to ensure
specifications, zoning requirements, and other regulations are
met.Communicates, distributes, and enforces site-specific safety
procedures and federal, state, and local safety and health
regulations. Ensures specifications and regulations outlined in
architectural and engineering plans are followed.Obtains required
permits and licenses; executes construction contracts according to
agreement terms.Maintains thorough knowledge of federal and state
OSHA regulations and websites; maintains up-to-date knowledge of
safety codes and regulations; distributes and posts new or revised
safety standards that affect the company. Develops and maintains a
proactive Return to Work Program; coordinates with appropriate
staff and insurance representatives to identify and develop
suitable temporary limited duty assignments for injured employees
to perform during recovery.Encourage employees to report any unsafe
conditions and injuries immediately. Monitors budget throughout the
project and communicate variances as they occur.Maintains records
related to costs and inventory.Addresses any safety violations or
other deficiencies.Collaborates with union representatives to
answer questions and clarify procedures.Performs other related
duties as assigned. Lead Responsibilities:---Interviews and hires
site workers.---Approves time cards and requests for time
off.---Prepares work schedules and assignments.---Communicates and
enforces safety procedures and site rules.Required
Skills/Abilities: Excellent written and oral communication
skillsProficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint,
etc.)A minimum of 10 years of construction experience 5 years as a
superintendent on projects similar in size and complexity with
specific experience constructing masonry walls; installing open web
steel joist framing, standing seam roofs, plumbing, and fire
alarms; HVAC installation and startup. 5 years of continuous
general or construction industry safety experience in supervising/
managing general industry (managing safety programs or processes,
conducting hazard analyses, and developing controls). Must be
familiar with the requirements of EM 385-1-1 and have experience in
hazard identification and safety compliance. Must have 30 Hour OSHA
general or construction industry safety class or a third party
equivalent recognized by OSHACapable of interpreting a critical
path schedule and construction drawingsEducation and
Experience:---Bachelor's degree in Construction Management,
Construction Science, Business Administration, Accounting, or---At
least five years of experience in building trade required.---DOD
(Department of Defense) Federal project experience
preferred---Ability to pass Government Clearance to enter federal
installations---Valid Driver's License---Certifications preferred:
CPR, OSHA 30, USACE Quality Control ManagementPhysical
Requirements: Must access and navigate all areas of the
construction site in all types of weather.Must be able to lift up
to 40 pounds at times. Frequently required to utilize hand and
finger dexterityFrequently required to climb, balance, bend, stoop,
kneel or crawlOccasionally/Frequently/Continually exposure to
extreme heat or cold (non-weather) Occasionally exposure to
bloodborne and airborne pathogens or infectious materials
