Position Summary: The Bid Analyst is responsible for creating and overseeing a bid - a detailed, costed, persuasive proposal - to existing or prospective customers. The Bid Analyst's role is to ensure that bids are successfully introduced and implementation of all necessary bid procedures and processes are completed to ensure bid is submitted on time. This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines. It requires strong people management and commercial skills. The Bid Analyst will ensure the smooth running of the bid for a sales campaign and help manage the relationship with the customer. Proven team leadership skills in office-based and virtual work environments is key. Must be an excellent communicator and comfortable working at Executive / Director Level (internal and external customer).Essential Duties and Responsibilities to Manage the end-to-end bid process include the following, other duties may be assigned:Receive requests for proposals (RFP) and create Offer Evaluation Books (OEB)Check RFP for plausibility (incl. check of initial check of layout)Maintain data (Stage, slot, categories, production & eng. location in ENGAGE); Suggest timelines based on RFP, which meet customer expectations, including prior exchange of information with Engineering regarding resources and Slots Lead (and present on behalf of Sales Directors) OEB-Kick-offs. Set up and distribute MoMs of Kick-off-meeting Convert all RFP documents into appropriate format (e.g. Excel instead PDF) and store all data in Document Management System (DMS). Create new OEB based on existing template, (i.e. fill the documents based on the RFP then send to Offer Evaluation) including attachments (LOPA, Compliance Matrix).Coordinate, track and prioritize LOPA investigations (Engineering vs. OEB)Request a Hedging rate (USD, RMB) from RECARO Holding if it is required for the proposal Request and coordinate all additionally required documents: Renderings, Living Space Study, DMC, SPPL, special presentations, special company related documents (financial reports, company information) and special customer questionnairesMonitor successful completion of the OEB process. Leading and preparing Shopfloor Meeting via JIRA (once/twice a week). Set priorities for the OEB & Layout team in agreement (with VP Customer).Lead and prepare Slot Review Meetings and implement all discussed and agreed changes into ENGAGE and HoV List (Global: RAU, RAC & RAG)Involved during the offer review process to help ensure accuracy between SDB and Offer Calculation provided by Finance. Tracks costs given for Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) and ensures accuracy and if not, works with the technical team to justify the costs. Prepare ROMs (define program, which can be used, define timeline) and documentation on demand; Check, if and which existing base can be used and set up coordination meetings with internal stakeholdersMaintains general customer contact and act as an intercultural competent link between RECARO and customers and supports the team as needed for high-level discussions.Prepare list of all open projects and OEBs and discuss prioritize with VP Customer (all sites) and Sales Directors (i.e. International Sales Priority List & Customer Review Call)Serves as technical lead with assigned customers communicating with them frequently through a variety of means. Continuously follow-up on offers in consultation with aircraft manufacturers (Bid-no-Bid-Call); Provide relevant information to Sales Directors. Assist in coordination of show seats both internally and with external vendors. Reviews inventory and communicates any upgrading of seats to latest feature and customer requirements. Helps to ensures seats are completed on-time and coordinates with logistics for efficient delivery. Participate in fairs, advise clients, present and explain exhibition modelsPrepare hand-over to Project Manager in G1 auditWhen offer has been accepted by the customer (at least binding LOI received), initatie preparation of the G1 audit:Collect data and do plausibility check, fill in necessary forms (Order Approval incl. in the named documents and figures) and get them signed and distributedRequest G1 calculation based on Order Approval and support calculation department if necessary (credits, chosen options)Collect necessary information from other departments relevant to execute G1 Create project in Team Center (PLM) and upload all G1 relevant documents (Offer, LOI, NDA, Order Approval, G1 Calculation & PER, G1 presentations & any other relevant document)Prepare presentation for CCP meeting (project release) ? PSC / IPSCSet up G1 meeting in conjunction with Program Management Office (PMO)Presentation of project in CCP meeting, thereby handing project over to project manager in conjunction with Sales Directors.Follow up on open action items with project team as defined in G1 Additional Skills Required:The candidate must be a self-starter and fast learner, able to gather information independently from various departments in the company. Will be required to work with little supervision and display leadership principles. Must have high level of reading comprehension, required for dense technical and commercial documents. Work effectively and in a professional manner with diverse cultures. Occasional to frequent domestic and international travel required; must keep valid and current passport. Must be extremely proficient at multi-tasking with a strong track record of completing assignments on time. Must possess key traits such as: resiliency, independent thinking, a strong sense of urgency, persistence, drive, determination, self-reliance, and professionalism. Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Business and/or a minimum of 3 years related experience in Sales, Bid Management and/or training. Aerospace experience preferred.
