HIRING DIESEL MECHANICS FOR OUR BRAND-NEW VENUS, TX FACILITY! (Must live within 60 miles of Venus, TX) We Offer: Hourly pay rate: $21 - $38 (based on experience level) $4K sign-on bonus! Join our team in our brand-new facility in Venus, TX! Referral bonus opportunities for qualified applicant(s) Schedule: Monday – Friday with Saturday rotation Shift: 8+ hours per day (anything over 40 hours is considered O.T.) First and second shift positions available $2 incentive for second shift! (Typical second shift schedule is 2pm-11pm) Continued education & certification opportunities are provided by Blackhawk Job Responsibilities: DOT inspections OSHA compliance in the shop Safety compliance in the shop Tool management & maintenance Equipment preventive maintenance Equipment repairs Completion of repairs in a timely manner Identifying and reporting of driver abuse of equipment Upper-level mechanic positions are required to mentor entry level mechanics. Qualifications: Diesel engine repair: 3 years (Preferred) Mechanical knowledge: 3 years (Preferred) Entry-level positions available Must have recent Diesel Mechanic certification from a technical school OR 1-2 years prior TRUCK Diesel Mechanic experience ASE certification (Preferred) Certifications on Cummins and Detroit engines (Preferred) Must live within 60 miles of Venus, TX Professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills Flexibility/availability for ad hoc needs on an as needed basis Strong Knowledge of DOT Compliance requirements for equipment Ability to work in a high volume, high output environment Strong electronic skills Strong trouble shooting skills Must have own hand tools Date posted: 03/07/2023
