**SUMMARY**
Maintains and installs electrical systems and services, as well as
production equipment, in a commercial manufacturing environment.
Also performs minor electrical maintenance, repairs of plant
production equipment and commercial building.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Follows all company safety rules and policies
+ Inspects equipment and tools daily for safe operations. Reports
issues to supervisor immediately.
+ Install and/or repair wiring, electrical fixtures, power
equipment, and components of machinery and equipment.
+ Repair and/or install motors, relays, switches, thermostats,
circuit-breaker, and panels etc.
+ Diagnose and resolve problems in electrical circuits, systems and
equipment using testing instruments.
+ Measure, cut, bend, thread pipe, and install electrical conduit
using various measuring instruments, i.e. tape measure or ruler
+ Test the continuity of circuits to ensure compatibility and
safety of components using various testing instruments.
+ Repairs complex electrical equipment, including automated
machines, controls, panels, relays, circuit breakers, communication
systems and alarms.
+ Installs electrical equipment with minimal instructions
+ Diagnoses problems, replaces or repairs parts, and detects and
replaces defective control modules.
+ Performs complex wiring assignments. Installs power, light,
electronic, and control circuits. Provides technical assistance to
lower-level maintenance electricians.
+ Receive and complete work orders in a timely matter.
+ Maintain accurate records of material and labor used.
+ Maintain inventory of company-owned tools, equipment, and
materials
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ Journeyman Electrician License preferred
+ Keen awareness of electrical safety and electricitys potential
hazards
+ Two or more years of experience in an electrical field
+ Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and written reference
material
+ Ability to follow electrical code, manuals, specifications,
schematics
+ Ability to perform mathematical calculations
+ Ability to diagnose and resolve electrical problems
+ Able to communicate clearly (bi-lingual a plus)
+ Knowledge of local electrical codes
**Hours of Work**
Monday Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm and OT when required

+ Attend work regularly and report promptly for duty on the days
and at the times scheduled by the supervisor.
+ Schedule changes occur and should be handled in a productive
manner
+ Working temperatures vary with seasonal changes where climate
control is limited. The environment is one in which noise
exists.
+ Sit on a forklift, stand, walk, squat, climb, or crawl for a
combined minimum of eight (8) hours per day on a concrete
surface.
+ Lift and carry components, tools, or other items weighing more
than 35 pounds. Any item over 35 pounds, is to be done with
assistance
+ Pull and push up to 100 pounds.
+ Carries tools and equipment to and from storage and work
areas.
+ May perform combination of physical movements to reach areas
difficult to access including bending, stooping, squatting,
reaching, twisting and rotation motions using head/neck, arms,
wrists, waist, knees and arms while performing duties.
+ Handle small hand tools and power tools. Handling may be done
unilaterally (one-handed) or bilaterally (two-handed) depending on
size and shape of object and task being performed.
+ Need corrected vision to be aware of surroundings and location of
items needed and perform various other job duties.
+ Need corrected hearing to identify conditions in the environment
(i.e. forklift horns, fire alarms).
+ Need mental alertness to identify, avoid, or resolve safety
hazards.
+ Ability to work at elevated heights.
+ Ability to communicate with supervisors and co-workers.
+ Ability to wear designated personal protective equipment for the
work assignment (i.e. safety glasses, cut-resistant gloves, hearing
protection, harnesses, hard hats)
