SUMMARY

Provide aircraft administration and support to operations performing the inspection and repair of aircraft minor depot actions, aircraft servicing, supply, and corrosion prevention and treatment activities on aircraft at government facilities located aboard Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth, Texas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following:

  • Documents, manages, and analyzes aircraft maintenance actions in accordance with the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) CNAFINST 4790.
  • Inputs data regarding work order information, status changes, supply updates and other pertinent information utilizing NALCOMIS/OOMA
  • Compiles and analyzes records and reports on production: review production objectives, deadlines, and work orders to assist in determining maintenance/production priorities
  • Compiles material inventory records and prepares requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies supporting aircraft maintenance/production activities
  • Assists with the monitoring of the maintenance data system (MDS) and configuration management (CM) program
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
    SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

    This position does not have any supervisory or management authority.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
    • High School Diploma, or General Education Development (GED) completion.
    • Three (3) years, within the last ten (10) years' experience equivalent to U.S. Navy or U.S. Marine Corps aviation maintenance support; proven commercial equivalent experience may be considered.
      KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
      • Possess general knowledge of aviation operations, maintenance, and safety practices
      • Adept in the use of the use of various cloud and computer based information systems including use of Microsoft Office Suite of products.
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
      • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with ability to establish and effectively manage multiple projects and priorities.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to present persuasively proposed solutions.
      • Ability to work effectively both individually and in a team environment.
        WORK ENVIRONMENT
        • Work is performed in controlled office environment augmented by aircraft maintenance industrial settings i.e. (hangar, flight-line, and other spaces). Moderate sound conditions, variable outdoor weather conditions. Must have the ability to stand and walk one-third to two-third of the time; the ability to talk or hear (with or without protective gear); use hands to finger, handle or feel; close vision; color vision; depth perception and ability to correct and adjust focus. Travel required.
