Registered Nurse - Full-time

Worth, TX 76132

Work hours: Full-time, 32 hours/week, 8:30AM-5:00PM with holiday
and weekend requirements

couplet care unit with 26-beds and an expanded 16-bed NICU
Here's What You Need
* Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program
* BSN preferred
* One-year (1) Year Experience as a clinical nurse (RN) or
completion of an RN residency program, or a THR residency program
Required
* One year of Lactation RN experience preferred
* BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent
patient care and maintained quarterly Required
* NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days
* IBCLC - International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant 2
Years Required (strongly prefer upon hire)
What You Will Do
* Both inpatient and outpatient services - working with both
Maternal/Newborn and NICU patients
* Functions as an expert resource on breastfeeding issues for
patients, families, community, staff, and physicians
* Serves as a clinical expert for lactation issues based on
evidence
* Produces documentation that initiates, follows and revises
patient's plan of care
* Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to improve care
processes that promote continuity of care
* Reviews patient medications for potential complications
associated with breastfeeding.
* Assesses outpatients for symptoms of jaundice and breastfeeding
problems
* Participates in breast pump rental and retail sales within the
Breastfeeding Resource Center
