The role of the IT Service Technician, with periodic supervision,
performs a variety of tasks requiring the application of standard
JPI procedures and criteria. This position will resolve requests by
phone, email, chat, or desk side with the associates. This position
will also provide provisioning and de-provisioning of jobsite
technologies, which will involve travel to and from construction
job sites. Technology supported includes but is not limited to
enterprise Voice, Data, Video, Wireless, Cloud, and Security. The
ideal candidate would be rewarded with working with leading-edge

and Responsibilities:
- Field incoming incidents and service requests from associates
via telephone, e-mail, chat, or desk side in a courteous, timely
manner.
- Provide support to associates, contractors, consultants, and
others who engage in JPI's business objectives.
- Setup and configuration of job site workstations including
laptops, iPads, monitors, printers, routers, and other equipment as
necessary.
- Help associates solve their IT questions and provide targeted
instructions to associates to improve their skills in using
computer systems and applications.
- Opportunity to take on additional duties related to network,
server, and security infrastructure.Computer Skills
- General networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, DHCP, VLAN,
802.11).
- Microsoft software knowledge (Windows, O365, Office Suite, AD,
Project).
- Advanced phone and mobile device support and management
knowledge (iOS and Android).
- Advanced computer hardware, software, and troubleshooting
knowledge.
- Familiarity with general IT security applications and best
practices (Anti-virus, Defender, MDR), and NIST
standards.Communication
- Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via
phone and/or electronically, in a timely manner.
- Ability to patiently listen and understand the associates'
issue or concern.
- Exemplify the JPI company culture and mission statement.
- Use appropriate judgment to identify, prioritize, and escalate
issues requiring urgent attention.
- Regularly communicate the status of resolution with clients and
management.
- Ensure the issue has been solved and properly train where
appropriate.
- Ability to mentor junior team members.Problem-Solving
- Utilize industry-standard best practices for
problem-solving.
- Research and investigate alternate solutions from various
sources when necessary.
- Request assistance from or escalate issues to appropriate
internal or external resources.
- Ability to take initiative to find better and more efficient
ways for yourself and other employees to work.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills. Capability
to manage own workload while meeting team goals and business needs
of the company.Documentation.
- Use the Service Desk software to track and record all
transactions.
- Create and maintain training materials for common workflow and
issues.
- Maintain knowledge base records of solutions to known
issues.
- Maintain or support inventory reporting of all job site assets
and transfer of equipment.Non-Essential Duties and

- Other duties as assigned.Education, Work Experience, & Physical
Requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, MIS, Computer
Science, or Business Administration preferred
- A+, MCSA and/or other technical certifications preferred.
- 3-5 years minimum experience in similar IT role.
- Mange engine desktop central, AD 360 and/or Service Desk Plus
experience preferred.
- Experience with MDM for mobile devices and hardware
- Constant adequate range of motion and mobility required.
- Regular sitting or standing, bending, or stooping, and the
ability to carry equipment and other such items as packaged
material weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent talking and the ability to express and exchange ideas
by means of verbal and written language.
- Regular hearing and the ability to perceive the nature of
sounds.
- Regular near acuity with clarity of vision at 20 inches or less
required.
- Constant ability to read, record, or type data quickly and
accurately required.
- Typical ability to collect and analyze numerical and written
data and verbal information to reach logical conclusions and
ability to determine the time, place, and sequence of operations or
actions required.
- Ability to work under and handle stress in an appropriate
manner required.
- May be exposed to high, medium, or low noise intensity.
- Constant contact with co-workers required.
- This is a full-time position. Regular and punctual attendance
is an essential function of the job.
- Ability to follow established safety guidelines.
- Frequently exposed to outdoor elements, and uneven terrain and
may be required to walk, climb or traverse the obstacles on an
active construction site.
- May be required to work early mornings, nights or weekends to
install, repair, or support a project as needed.
- Some travel to project work sites will be required. Position
