in Dallas, Texas, 75237! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession:

License: Active Registered Nurse license Certifications: TNCC,
ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Previous charge experience, charting
system experience with Epic, trauma experience preferred
Description: Local candidates within 90 miles are considered. Two
attempts to pass EKG Exam during compliance are required. The
intensive care nursing staff provides care to adult critical
patients aged 18 years and older. Patients have medical/surgical,
neurological, and cardiac diagnoses requiring specialized care. All
ICU beds have bedside and remote telemetry capabilities. Patients
are admitted for treatment of underlying diseases or complications
related to their disease processes. Special clinical treatments and
activities performed include the administration of cardiac drips
and continuous sedation drips. Administration of tissue plasminogen
activator (tPA) and intravenous therapy using peripheral and
central venous catheters is also part of the care provided.
Nutritional support, including TPN and tube feedings, is given.
Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) and pronation of
patients with acute respiratory complications may be necessary.
Intra-aortic balloon pump therapy, EKOS Therapy for DVT & PE
complications, and hypothermia therapy are performed. The nursing
staff will also provide wound care. Support services include IV
teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy, among
others. Staffing ratios are maintained at 2 patients per nurse
during day and night shifts. Weekend coverage is required, with six
weekend shifts per six-week schedule period. Pre-approved time off
is limited and requires management approval prior to signing a
contract. Candidates must reside within the designated distance
radius to qualify. Military certifications are acceptable. Annual
training modules may be required. Recommended certifications are
