Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Cable Extrusion Machine Operator to specialize in the production of drop cables to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in set-up, operation and process of machinery that includes, but not limited to shaping thermoplastics, braiding cables and assembling conductor groups into final products, ensure adherence to precise specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of fabrication processes, quality control measures, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced fiber optic manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for interpreting blueprints and diagrams to select and position machines, as well as determining procedures for set up of equipment and functionality. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Cable coating experience 3 years previous experience as a Machine Operator or in a similar manufacturing role is preferred. Familiarity with safety, environmental and quality control standards and practices and ability to follow all procedures accordingly. Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication skills to communicate internally and externally at all levels Willingness to learn programming techniques related to machine operation. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while meeting production deadlines. Strong organizational skills a must. Strong mechanical background. Knowledge and ability to detect faulty operations of equipment & defective materials. 1 -3 years experience processing cable raw materials through various cable production operations to create a cable finished good with the use of construction sheets, machine set up sheets, & other processing procedures is a PLUS Proficiency in observing equipment & cable during operation to assure quality production to applicable specifications; use of testing equipment to evaluate the performance of the cable products is a PLUS Electric City knowledge a PLUS. Machinist certificate a PLUS. 1-3 years experience with Programming Logic Controls (PLC) a PLUS. 1-3 years experience with Human Machine interface (HMI) a PLUS 1-3 years experience diagnosing and correcting electrical and mechanical problems a PLUS Join our growing team as an Extrusion Operator, where your skills will contribute to the production of high-quality products that meet our customers' needs.
